Performance in a Whole New Light

Visionaire Lighting is proud to celebrate over 19 years of bringing new outdoor lighting technology to the marketplace.

About Us

Visionaire Lighting launched in the year 2000 by a small and diverse group of individuals in Gardena, California. The company was created with a commitment to the idea of environmentally conscious, sustainable production of lighting products. The company’s early success was based on the patented Vision Optical System®, which became a metric for HID lighting performance. Our company grew quickly and expanded into a second manufacturing site in Ensenada, Baja California in 2004. A year later, we moved from Gardena to our current headquarters in Rancho Dominguez, California.

In 2012, Visionaire made a conscious decision to invest fully in LED technology in anticipation of the coming transformation of the lighting industry. Our investment included human resources and equipment as well as software and hardware integration for IoT in lighting products of the future.

Today Visionaire has in excess of 300,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and storage area in addition to the 60,000 sq. ft. headquarters facility. Manufacturing is vertically integrated in all areas including Automated Injection Molding for optical production, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for PCB/Light Source production, Die/Steel/Sand Casting, Powder Coating, CNC Robotic Fabrication, Metal Spinning in a 5S focused environment.

We pride ourselves on our ability and willingness to tailor and customize products and programs for our customers unique and individual needs. Visionaire recognizes that our customers are important partners in our success and endeavor to treat them with this in mind every day.

Our company also embraces the fact that our employees are our most valuable resource. It is a part of our mission statement to create and maintain an robust working environment which provides opportunity for personal growth and promotes from within where at all possible. Ownership’s goal is to share the fruits of our collective labors with our employees so that all benefit by our successes.

Our success in the future will depend on our continued collaborative engagement with our customers and employees to create products and solutions to the rapidly evolving lighting products landscape.

2000

Visionaire Lighting was created by Fred Kayne and Bryan Fried in February of 2000. Its initial offices were in Redondo Beach, California in a small office where the first small group of 6 employees began creating the company’s first product catalog and spec sheets. Visionaire moved into its first location in Gardena, California and opened its doors on June 15, 2000. The company started producing product in-house as an assembly company purchasing luminaire components from OEM manufacturers and manufacturing its own poles.
